FINANCIAL PLANNING TRENDS
THAT IMPACT CHARITABLE GIVING
CHRISTOPHER CLARKSON
Today, donors and charitable gift planners face a landscape defined by change. A new president, declining interest rates, and a looming tax law sunset will impact how donors plan their retirement and their legacy. Which financial planning strategies are likely to benefit individuals and families? Meanwhile, donations are coming in larger amounts from fewer sources. Planned giving is no longer a “nice to have”—it’s a “need to have.” Which giving vehicles are likely to be most effective for donors, and which vehicles should charitable gift planners prioritize for long term success? In this session, Chris will discuss how the election, economy, interest rates, taxes, and the market environment may impact financial and charitable planning moving forward.
CHRIS CLARKSON is a Senior Vice President and the National Director of Planning for Bernstein’s Foundation and Institutional Advisory business.
