Laura and Tommy McBride

and Rainey McBride Bruce

Laura and Tommy have been married for 35 years.  They have enjoyed over the years having the opportunity to do more in the philanthropic arena.  They have focused their time, talent, and treasures on the areas of Education with a concentration in Classical Christian Education and the West Dallas Community at large. 

Laura McBride is originally from Winter Haven, Florida and is a graduate of the University of Florida where she was a member of the Varsity Swim team and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.  She also received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida Warrington School of Business.  She has been active in the Dallas Community since moving here in 1991.  She has served on the Board of Directors for West Dallas Community School and The Cambridge School of Dallas.  She currently is a Women’s Bible Study Leader at Park Cities Presbyterian Church and mentors a group of young moms.  She was a homemaker raising our three children:  Luke McBride, Kira McBride, and Rainey McBride Bruce. 

Rainey McBride Bruce is originally from Dallas and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Garrett Bruce.  Rainey graduated from Providence Christian School of Texas through 8th grade and the Cambridge School of Dallas for high school.  At Cambridge, Rainey was a distance runner and finished second in the state in the mile and third in the state in the two mile in TAPPS 2A her senior year.  She graduated from the University of Georgia where she was a Chi Omega and she served on the summer staff for Family Legacy at their Zambia operation.  Rainey has been a recruiter since graduating from Georgia and is with ImpactSearch Partners in Atlanta.

Tommy McBride grew up in Dallas having graduated from Highland Park High School where he was a member of the Varsity Soccer team.  He graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where he also played soccer.  He also received his Master’s in financial planning from the College for Financial Planning. Tommy has been active in the Dallas Community since moving back here in 1991 and served on the Board of Directors and as President for Providence Christian School of Texas.  He has been active through the years with the Dallas Chapter of the Washington & Lee Alumni Association, Advisory Board for the Dallas Foundation, and was a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber Leadership Dallas Class of 2015.  He was able to coach all three of his children in soccer from elementary school, middle school, and high school.  He is currently a Board Member for the Dallas Council of Charitable Gift Planners and a member of the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy Community Group Steering Committee.

Tommy has worked at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for 32 years and Luke McBride for 5 years.  The team has a focus on financial planning, investment management, and philanthropic planning for their clients.  Tommy was named to the 2025 Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors” list for the 17th consecutive year*; named to the 2025 Forbes “America’s Top Wealth Advisors” list for the 9th consecutive year** and named to the 2024 Forbes "America’s Top Wealth Management Teams Private Wealth" list for the 3rd consecutive year as a member of the McBride & Associates at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management team***.
